The North Stafford Center for Business and Technology (NSCBT) building, built for the Marine Corps, had a very agressive schedule to meet. Not only did the building need to be complete, but the offices needed to be stocked, furnished and employees working. Wack General Contractor pulled out all the stops, got creative and, in six and a half months, delivered the project early. From phones to the security system, business was in full swing.
Because Wack General Contractor was both developer and construction general contractor, they were able to streamline activities and shave precious days off the schedule. Drawing from a sizeable subcontractor base across the region enabled not only very competitve pricing, but also meant that Wack General Contractor could make more efficient progress.
To further accomodate a tight schedule, Wack General Contractor got creative, saving the client six weeks by going out of their way to arrange a simultaneous tenant office relocation as the building neared completion.
"The elevators weren't finished so we had cranes on hand to move furniture into upper floors," said Chris Alburger, Vice President of Construction for Wack General Contractor.
